There were three players left during the 2010 Spring Championship of Online Poker at PokerStars on the 8th day, having SCOOP titles, but the event cover almost 12 hours for every player. The Morongo Band of Mission Indians formed a group called the California Tribal Intrastate Internet Poker Consortium. It is one of the largest casino gaming tribes. According to recent reports lately, the California Indian tribes will be pushed next month. 
The deal from the Commerce Casino together with the Bicycle club is being worked out by the Morongo to pursue the online poker in California. According to the Morongo’s spokesperson, Patrick Dorinson, they have been asking added support from different tribes to pursue with the deal that fell apart due to the issues that risen that it was rush through the legislative process.
One of the most influential groups, California Tribal Business Alliance has shown their disagreement in the proposal. They claim that it could violate the exclusivity clauses in gaming compacts with the casino tribes.
There are around 1.4 million Californians enjoying poker in an online poker via offshore websites. The proposal seems to gather potential revenue streams for the state and the Senate Governmental Organization Committee will take up all the questions about this online poker on the 9th of February.
Invitations have been distributed and speakers for February 9 are all ready to support the hearing. However, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIEGA) prohibits the use of credit cards and all fund transfer for the illegal online gambling except for the intrastate internet gambling.

It’s been a while since the PPA or the Poker Players Alliance has seen steps to improve the gaming experience of American poker players. The passing of the UIGEA has definitely starved the people in the United States who wanted to play poker online. This is due to the fact that the UIGEA has categorized poker along with other non-skilled gaming in the internet world.

It’s been a long time since the UIGEA legislation suck out the demands of poker players in the United States to have online gambling legalized. The PPA or Poker Players Alliance has been pushing reforms and bills in order to erase the negative feelings poise by the UIGEA. The UIGEA has been discriminately grouping poker with other kinds of gambling which is not fair because poker is more a skill game compared to other online games which are purely based on luck.
